I enjoy highlighting my clients' transformations for several reasons. Firstly, they have put in tremendous effort to replace bad habits with life-transforming new ones, and they deserve recognition and acknowledgment for their dedication. Starting this journey is not easy, but as time goes on, it becomes a part of who you are - and that is truly remarkable! Secondly, sharing client spotlights serves as motivation for others who may be struggling and in need of inspiration to improve their eating habits or engage in exercise. We all require support and positive motivation at certain points in our lives. I hope this serves as a source of motivation for you in some way.

Lisa’s Story:

In 2020 I was in the worst shape I had ever been, both physically and mentally. The stress of raising 5 children, while completing my college degrees, and working a mentally and emotionally taxing job had taken its toll on me. Physically, I had very little energy. No matter how much sleep I got, I was constantly exhausted. I regularly felt the need to take 2 – 3 naps just to make it through the day.  I tried to clean up my diet by eating “healthy” but more often than not, I wound up feeling completely bloated. I watched my husband prioritize his physical and mental health by running daily and became envious of the time he was devoting to himself. The final straw came when someone referred to me as “curvy”. While it wasn’t said in a malicious way, I had never considered myself a curvy-figured person, quite the opposite in fact. Considering I was approaching my mid-forties, I knew if I didn’t make some serious changes, I would be looking at a life of health problems and medications. However, the task seemed too overwhelming. I didn’t know where to start, or what the best approach would be.

I knew of friends who had made full-body and life transformations with the help of not just a trainer, but a nutrition coach also. I began to google fitness trainers who also do nutrition coaching and Sandy’s website popped up. I was impressed with what I saw and had a consultation within the next few days. Sandy graciously listened to my concerns and made me feel so at ease. The meal plans she designed were so easy to follow and delicious. Even though I was in the worst physical shape of my life and barely made it through my first workout, under Sandy’s guidance and encouragement each workout became easier. I began pushing myself just a little harder with each set. Sandy was instrumental in helping me on my nutrition journey. She didn’t just give me meal plans but taught me to figure out how best to fuel my body. With each plateau or downfall, Sandy was there to offer adjustments or realignments to get me moving in the direction I wanted to go. I loved watching the inches come off and the inflammation go down. Having had multiple cosmetic surgeries, I can honestly say the best physical transformation I’ve had has been the muscle definition Sandy helped me achieve.  

For nearly the last 3 years I have truly looked forward to my workouts, not just for the exercise, but for the opportunity to spend time with such an amazing person. Sandy became not just a coach and a mentor, but a cheerleader and a friend. The physical and mental strength and the confidence that Sandy helped me gain, have been the greatest blessing in my daily life. I am currently the healthiest I have ever been, and I look forward to continuing on my health journey for as long as possible.
