My ProLon Fasting Mimicking Diet Experience

My review of the "ProLon" Fasting Mimicking Diet by Dr. Valter Longo. I was looking for a safer more realistic way to help my clients (all women) through their weight-loss journey. Since intermediate fasting is all the rage recently, so many of my clients wanted to try it.

However, what I've found is that women do not respond well to fasting as men do. Women have different hormones than men which we need to take into consideration. It's also interesting that most studies on Intermediate Fasting have been on men.

The ProLon Fasting Mimicking diet has been shown to support women's hormones so we can fast in a safe, healthy manner without the side effects of the normal intermediate fasting protocol. Some side effects of intermediate fasting for women are decreased glucose tolerance and increased insulin sensitivity, which has been shown to suppress the metabolism. That's why I prefer the ProLon fasting-mimicking diet for women.
